THE 2019 CAD DIRECTORS

MUSIC DIRECTOR – DAVID WHITELAW, Co-Owner DNA Production

Ensures that the quality level of the musicians and vocalists are superb and proper supplies and equipment are appropriate and purchased and or rented. Monitors ongoing musical plans, reviews and approves annual budgets for the musicians and vocalists. Can make recommendations to Band, Technical and Vocal Directors for musicians, crew and vocalists to contract, hire or release. Decides where to place musicians, and crew at performances in collaboration with the Theatrical Director. May set up meetings with Artistic, Technical, Dance, Vocal and Band Directors. Performs, coach musicians, recruits teachers.

BAND DIRECTOR/MUSIC ARRANGER  - RICHARD (RICH) WILLIS, Owner, Chillin Circuit

Works with the song writer(s) to create rehearsal tapes for vocalists, musicians and dancers and teaches musicians their parts and directs them at performances. Arranges musical parts for musicians directing them during rehearsals. Meets with Music Director to see if musicians need back ups, music stands, lead sheets, lighting, equipment or supplies. Sends rehearsal tapes/recordings to Artistic/Theatrical Directors.

DANCE DIRECTOR  - LATREESA WHITE, Owner EmpowermentZ8

Works with and selects Dance Choreographers. May opt to choreograph and dance also. Recruits dancers. Submits any costumes, lighting and prop needs to the Artistic Director. Auditions dancers to make sure they are performing on a professional level from expressions to movement. May rehearse with band.

VOCAL DIRECTOR - LATEACHIA (TISH) WELLS-HAMPTON, Owner Sweet T's Delights

   Directs Chorus and Lead Vocalists. Auditions vocalists and makes suggestions and recruits vocalists. May opt to sing and perform also. May recruit vocal section leaders and coaches. Arranges vocal parts enhancing creativity. May assign movement to vocalist. Works with Choreographer, Band, Song Writer.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR - REGINA (MACK) JONES, Owner, Wild Teas

Contracts and Meets with all , Department Directors to assess their needs, concerns and to compliment them. Request budgets from Directors and photographs and recordings of rehearsals and performances. Makes sure budgets are doable or edits them if needed. Sends rehearsal tapes to Department Directors.

THEATRICAL DIRECTOR - REGINA (MACK) JONES, Founder CAD, Inc.

Writes and Directs dramatists for stage, television, film, radio and internet, exhibits or other art forms.

Auditions actors, poets, speakers, storytellers and spoken word artists. May opt to perform and produce.

COSTUME DIRECTOR –

Makes sure all talent is measured for costuming. Shops or creates costuming to meet needs. Meets with Theatrical and Dance Director to make sure costumes are appropriate and practical and within budget.

THEATRICAL MAKE UP DIRECTOR - ARIELLE FOX, Owner Foxy Faces

Submits make up, supplies and equipment needed. Meets with Theatrical and Dance Director to get the vision of the Directors and then creates needs list and budget, which must be approved Artistic Director

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR –ANGELA WHITELAW, Co-Owner DNA Production

Recruits and suggest lighting, video, audio, editing, special effects, software, stage hands, set designer, Directors and crew. May do any functions above. Provides budget and list of needs to Artistic Director.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Contacts promoters, media, street team, studies markets and targets them. Makes sure Touring Manager is arranging and setting up travel for local, national and abroad interviews and shows. Handles website, social media, all media markets, billboards, advertising specialty products for branding our company.

ART DIRECTOR

Designs and Builds Sets and Props, Designs Backdrops, Recruits Artists and Set Builders and Riggers.
